Lake Compounce is an amusement park in Bristol, Connecticut. The park is one-half amusement rides and one-half waterpark, so there is always something to do! Be sure to go on the rollercoaster “Boulder Dash” while you are there! It has been voted the “World’s #1 Wooden Coaster,” and with good reason! It is 2 miles long and at it’s fastest goes 60 mph! Do you have a child who loves trains? Well then you should definitely take a day trip to Edaville USA! With rides designed for parents and children to ride together, the entire family will have loads of fun! Purgatory Chasm
Not really into amusement parks but still want to take a day trip? Then checkout Purgatory Chasm. The chasm is a unique natural landmark that runs through a quarter mile of granite walls. The trail is popular for hikers, picnicking, and rock climbers alike. Remember that the rocks can be slippery so please wear rubber-soled shoes or hiking boots for safety!
