For those of us in the real estate industry we are in exciting times! New and proposed legislation like bill H.R. 6218 (the stated everything refi), HVCC, and Financial Reform; lenders self imposed foreclosure moratoriums, all 50 attorney’s generals forming an alliance to shut everything down in the foreclosure arena. Ah YES, exciting times! And this is just round one.
But as salespeople none of this is going to do anything to keep our lights on. In fact, this could all just be a very big distraction. It’s important to be informed and stay current with the goes on in the industry and with legislation because it is paramount to our recovery and provides good talking points with our industry partners BUT as salespeople we need to keep the focus where it needs to be. Helping Families find Places to Call Home. We trade foreclosures and non-payment occupants for healthy homeowners. This makes us partially responsible to our nation’s recovery. That’s right, the road for our national recovery runs, in part, through us and our ability to do our job despite of all the obstacles in front of us. Yes, we are in exciting times, so go to work because our nation’s recovery, in part, is depending on you.
