Curb Appeal Can Seal The Deal

You only get one chance to make a first impression. When potential buyers drive buy your home, see pictures online, or visit in person, they'll almost immediately have a gut reaction to whether they like it or not. A lot of that has to do with whether they like the look of it at first sight.

Here are a few ways you can make sure their first impression is a good one:

Cut back overgrown shrubs to show more of the exterior of your home. It will look tidy and also makes the yard feel bigger. If your lawn is looking rough, some fertilizer and watering will bring back a nice green color. Of course, be sure to mow and edge frequently; you never know when the buyer might be driving by.

Fences should be in good shape with no missing panels, and you might consider painting them. You can plant a few flowers to add some instant color that catches the eye. If you have a porch, make sure the furniture is clean and arranged nicely. Consider adding some potted plants. Make sure any trees are free of dead or broken limbs.

In short, do everything you can to make your property look as appealing as possible. It could mean the difference between an excited buyer and one who passes right by!
