Curb Appeal
Start with the exterior of your house, or your curb appeal. Take a fresh look at the outside of your house from a street perspective. What jumps out at you? What unique characteristics seem to fade into the background?
Knowing this helps us to decide what we can do to attract buyers from the street and into your house. If your home's exterior isn't up to par with retouched paint and colorful garden plants we'll need to address those as well. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and raise your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Does your home seem to say, "Hello From Your New Place" to a buyer? Walking-through your house with a buyer's eye, I'll advise you of arrangements that build up market appeal.
I'll help you put in storage anything that gives the appearance of clutter. Surface areas like tables, desks and counters should be clutter-free. Brick-a-brack, sentimental items, family photos, and kids' works of art should get moved out of sight. We need to "generalize" the house so buyers can picture it as their new house.
I'll look over each room of your home. Changes that directly impact your sale price include easy-to-fix items like furniture pieces that should be removed, rooms that need new paint, carpet that needs to be replaced, fixtures that need shining, and windows that need washing
Potential buyers like to see a place that seems comfortable. Personal items that could be "offensive" should get moved out so that your house will have achieve mass appeal to buyers.

Setting the Stage
You'll know when you're ready to open your home up to buyers, because all of the changes come together to paint a picture of what buyers can expect after they choose to buy your house. Brightness is critical and we'll open curtains, and add lighting where needed to welcome the buyer. We'll enhance the ambiance with enjoyable music playing softly and ensure a pleasant scent circulates from every area. We'll add cozy-looking throws, and throw pillows on your sofa and bed. Buyers should feel like your current home is their future home. |
