MASS SAVE

Have you heard of MASS SAVE?

Whether you have or haven't I'm sure you will be surprised at just how much money you could save through the Mass Save program. I've known about the program for years. In fact, I've used the program to help with the cost of replacing heating systems. But even though I've used it, I still didn't know about all the benefits the program offers.

Instead of detailing the benefits of the program here and all the ways it can be used or how it works, I thought it might be best to simply share the MASS SAVE website. There's a lot of information there but it is easy to navigate.

Visit: https://www.masssave.com/en/learn/residential and see for yourself.

Whether your home is new, old or somewhere in between, this program can help you save $$. Call me at 774-930-4595 if you have questions.

Oh, and feel free to share this blog post with your friends and family. They'll be glad you did!

As homeowners start to think about preparing their house to sell, many wonder what improvements they can make to increase the value of their homes. Other homeowners are always concerned about whether or not a home improvement will actually improve the value. Below we have a list of common home improvement projects and whether they are worth it or just a waste!

Modernizing your kitchen.

Worth it.

You’re probably thinking about how this is common sense, but it never hurts to be reminded! Kitchens are the focal point of the home, therefore renovating the kitchen is always worth it. Bathrooms and kitchens sell homes, so if you would like a quick sell, make sure the kitchen is up to date!

Inground pool or hot tub.

Waste.

… At least not in New England. The problem with pools is that in most markets they are not considered a necessity, they are simply an insurance burden and safety concern. If you are adding the pool for your enjoyment, then go right ahead! But, if you are simply looking for a way to bring value to your home, there are a lot better ways to spend that money.

Updating your bathroom.

Worth it.

As I stated earlier, Bathrooms and Kitchens sell homes. A brand new beautiful shower, fresh paint, and modern flooring will bring your house to the next level!

An Addition.

Waste.

If you are looking for an immediate return on your investment, then this is not it! You should be adding an addition because you don’t want to move or because it is the best financial decision for you, not because you want to make a quick extra buck when you sell your current home.

Landscaping Improvements.

Worth it.

Let your green thumb run ramp-id if you want to add value to your home in a quick and inexpensive way! A beautiful landscape will always catch the eyes of buyers, so investing in flowers and mulch can go a long way when it comes to quickly selling your home!

Gardens

Maintaining a backyard garden can take some work, but the results are definitely worth it. There are few things more relaxing than listening to birds chirp as you curl up with a summer read surrounded by flowers. To get a dream garden, start by sectioning off part of your yard and fill it with mulch, then go to your favorite home and garden store to pick out the perfect flowers.
